Fasig-Tipton Midlantic breeze show concludes; sale starts Monday

The under-tack preview show for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale concluded with a logjam on the leaderboard, as a dozen juveniles tied for the fastest furlong time at 10 seconds flat.
Five of the juveniles to work bullets during the Wednesday-to-Friday breeze show on the Maryland State Fairgrounds track in Timonium are by freshman sires. A pair of those are by Speightster, who has a pair of winners from his first crop to stand out early in his class, and who had a breakout sale earlier this month at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's spring auction. The WinStar Farm stallion was represented by a $1.1 million colt.
Speightster's bullet-working duo are both consigned by L.G., agent. They are a colt who is a half-brother to stakes winner En Hans and a filly who is the first foal out of Grade 3-placed juvenile Spirituality.

Outwork was also among the freshman sires on the leaderboard, with a colt from his first crop working in 10 seconds flat. The Grade 1 winner is among the first sons at stud for young classic sire Uncle Mo, who also had a colt in the bullet-working group.
Other freshman sires with juveniles working in 10 seconds flat were Frosted and Upstart, each with fillies. Rounding out the bullet workers were a pair of fillies by Fed Biz, and fillies by Dialed In, Goldencents, Maclean's Music, and Twirling Candy.
A colt from the second crop of Liam's Map held the solo lead among juveniles to work a quarter-mile, breezing in 20 4/5 seconds. Liam's Map, who stands at Lane's End, was represented by a pair of Grade 1-winning juveniles from his first crop to the races.
This colt, consigned by All Dreams Equine, agent, is out of the placed Big Brown mare One Foxy Grey, whose dam is Grade 1 winner Irish Smoke.
