Fasig-Tipton Kentucky winter mixed sale catalog goes online

The catalog for the 2018 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky winter mixed sale is now available online and features 517 entries.

The auction will take place Feb. 5-6 at Fasig-Tipton’s Newtown Paddocks base in Lexington, Ky., beginning each day at 10 a.m. Eastern.

Supplemental entries will be accepted over the next two weeks on an approval basis, and they will be sold at the end of the auction’s second session.

Print copies of the catalog will be available starting Wednesday.

“Buyers looking to fill their orders before the start of breeding season will find a number of excellent opportunities at Kentucky winter mixed,” Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning said. “Racing and broodmare prospects with blacktype credentials, a quality group of in-foal mares, and more than 200 short yearlings make this an attractive catalog on a number of fronts.”

Stallions represented by yearlings from their debut crops include Bayern, Bourbon Courage, Competitive Edge, Constitution, Danza, Daredevil, Fast Anna, Honor Code, Imagining, Jack Milton, Japan, Karakontie, Lea, Liam’s Map, Medal Count, Mr Speaker, Palace, Palace Malice, Race Day, Sky Kingdom, Summer Front, Tapiture, and Wicked Strong.

First-year covering sires with pregnant mares in the catalog include Anchor Down, Effinex, Flintshire, Mshawish, Not This Time, Nyquist, Outwork, Texas Red, and Tourist.
