Fasig-Tipton Florida: Uncle Mo colt sells for $1 million early

An Uncle Mo colt started the fireworks early Wednesday evening at the Fasig-Tipton Florida sale of 2-year-olds in training at Gulfstream Park, selling for $1 million to the partnership of Stonestreet Farm and Coolmore's M.V. Magnier.

The colt, consigned by Cary Frommer, as agent, was one of 10 horses to breeze a furlong in :10 flat to tie atop the breeze show leaderboard on Monday at Gulfstream.

That group of workers included three juveniles by breakout young stallion Uncle Mo, last year's leading freshman and juvenile sire. Coolmore stands Uncle Mo at its Ashford Stud in Versailles, Ky.

The colt is out of the stakes-winning Two Punch mare Five Star Dream, dam of one winner from three starters to date.
