Fasig-Tipton Florida: Curlin colt sells for $1 million

A colt by Curlin, who is coming off a career year, was the next to light the leaderboard at the Fasig-Tipton Florida sale of 2-year-olds at Gulfstream Park, selling for $1 million to Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum.

The colt, who was consigned by Ciaran Dunne's Wavertree Stables, as agent, worked a furlong in :10 2/5 seconds during Monday's pre-sale under-tack show.

The colt is out of the winning A.P. Indy mare On a Roll, the dam of two winners from three starters to date, led by stakes-placed Free Money. On a Roll is a full sister to stakes winners and stakes producers Ender's Sister and Ender's Shadow. Other notable runners in the family include classic-placed Royal Assault.
