Fasig-Tipton catalogs 295 for Kentucky winter mixed sale

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 295 entries for its Kentucky winter mixed sale, to be held Monday, Feb. 11 at the Newtown Paddocks in Lexington, Ky.

The single-session sale begins at 10 a.m.

Included in the catalog are 141 mares and broodmare prospects and an additional 76 racing and/or broodmare prospects and horses of racing age, as well as 78 yearlings of 2013.

“There is quite a bit of quality in this year’s catalogue,” Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning said. “We have more than 50 black-type earners or producers, as well as several well-bred in-foal mares and prospects by high-profile sires. There are daughters of Bernardini, Distorted Humor, Giant’s Causeway, Malibu Moon, Medaglia d’Oro, Smart Strike, Storm Cat, Street Cry and Unbridled’s Song ready to go to the breeding shed or back to the racetrack. And with the strong demand for short yearlings at this time of the year, our group of 78 will find plenty of action."

Stallions represented by yearlings in the catalog include Arch, Candy Ride, City Zip, Harlan’s Holiday, Into Mischief, Malibu Moon, Speightstown and Tiznow.

The catalog is now online at Fasig-Tipton’s website and will be available in all Fasig-Tipton offices by Jan. 21.
