Fasig-Tipton catalogs 160 yearlings for Saratoga sale, down from 2010

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 160 yearlings to its 2011 Saratoga select yearling sale in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in August.

The 2011 catalog is down significantly from the 202 originally cataloged for last year’s auction; 164 eventually went through the ring in 2010, with 118 selling for $32,515,000, a $275,551 average, and a $240,000 median.

The 2011 auction will take place in Fasig-Tipton’s Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion on Aug. 8-9, with sessions starting each night at 7 p.m. Eighty horses are scheduled to sell each night.

Catalogs will be available online at www.fasigtipton.com from June 30 and at all Fasig-Tipton offices by July 5. It’s also available on the EquineLine app.
