ETOBICOKE, Ontario - The fabulous Fashionably Fab notched her fourth consecutive Ontario-sired stakes win in Saturday’s $100,000 La Prevoyante at Woodbine. Fashionably Fab ($3) assumed her usual outside stalking position under Patrick Husbands as her stablemate, Strega, set moderate fractions in the 1 1/16-mile event. Fashionably Fab joined Strega up front on the far turn before drawing off in the stretch to prevail by 2 1/2 lengths, in a time of 1:45.60 over the slow Tapeta surface. Talk to Ya Later closed inside from a trailing fifth to edge out Tito’s Calling for second. My Girl Sky rallied wide for fourth as Strega faded in the final furlong. :: Bet the races with a $200 First Deposit Match + FREE All Access PPs! Join DRF Bets. Husbands was tied with Kazushi Kimura and Sahin Civaci for most stakes wins at the meet heading into the race with 15, and Fashionably Fab gave him the outright lead in that department. “She’s a happy filly,” Husbands said. “I liked how she won it and how she galloped out. She’s getting better and better.” Winning trainer Kevin Attard said he was happy to see the daughter of Silent Name improve dramatically since finishing up the track after getting fried in a speed duel in the July 23 Woodbine Oaks. “We were hoping to see this earlier in the year, heading into the Oaks,” Attard recalled. “But things didn’t go quite well for her then. It was nice to see her turn the corner and turn into the filly that we hoped she was going to be.” Fashionably Fab earned $60,000 for Terra Racing Stable. She figures to be a Sovereign Award finalist for Canadian champion 3-year-old filly, along with Oaks winner Elysian Field and Grade 3 stakes winner Solo Album. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
