Farish sells Camden center

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Prominent owner and breeder Will Farish, recently appointed United States ambassador to Great Britain, has sold the historic Camden Training Center in Camden, S. C.

Delaware horsewoman Henrietta Alexander George has purchased the 380-acre facility privately in a deal that is expected to close early this month. In an announcement issued by Farish's Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Ky., on Tuesday, George said she would continue to operate the property as a training center.

Farish had used the Camden Training Center for his Lane's End racing stable since 1985, when he purchased the property from the estate of the late owner and breeder Marion duPont Scott.

"I plan on continuing to send yearlings to Camden to be broken and trained," Farish said.
