Far Out Pride one to fear

Seven fillies mares who are either looking for their fourth career win or have been entered for a $30,000 claiming price comprise the lineup for the seven-furlong feature, which goes as the first race at Evangeline Downs.

Far Out Pride, a winner by almost eight lengths in her last start under conditions similar to this race, but restricted to Louisiana-breds, will attempt to make it two in a row for trainer Eddie Johnston. The 4-year-old Far Out Pride also won a second-level allowance at Fair Grounds earlier this year.

Tracy Hebert, aboard for Far Out Pride's most recent victory, has been given a return call.

The top opposition to Far Out Price appears to be another Louisiana-bred, Sara Bon Adeau. Trained by Alvin Sider, Sara Bon Adeau is coming off a win in allowance company on April 13. Kerwin Clark retains the mount.
