Fair Grounds: In Trouble still on fence for Lousiana Derby

Trainer Tony Dutrow said Tuesday he will enter In Trouble in the Louisiana Derby on Wednesday, but that a final decision on whether to ship the horse to New Orleans on Thursday or wait and run in the Wood Memorial hadn’t yet been made. Joe Rocco would ride In Trouble if the colt starts in the Louisiana Derby.

Just five likely for Oaks
The Fair Grounds Oaks will feature two of the most promising 3-year-old fillies in the country, Untapable and Unbridled Forever, and Fiftyshadesofgold also will be entered in the race, but the local Oaks is all but certain to go with a very short field. Of the seven other nominees to the race, five have been ruled out, leaving only Mary Rita and the overmatched Army as other prospective runners.
