Tried rallying from sixth on a speed-biased track, but that wasn’t as much of a problem as the severe traffic he caught for a good part of the homestretch. Was moving like a winner when he got stopped and lost all chance thereafter. This was rained onto dirt, but he can handle turf, too.

Another closer on a speed-biased track, and even more detrimental, her last-start breakthrough had come on the Fair Grounds grass, and she was rained onto dirt here. That might get you a couple extra odds points when she gets her next chance on the grass.

What have we here? Louisiana-bred with some class had been routing since July 2011, but was turned back to a sprint by sharp outfit and closed sharply into odds-on favorite loose on lead over inside-speed-biased track. Want to see him back in a one-turn race.
