PHOENIX - Despite coming off a poor race and toting 128 pounds, heavy 2-5 favorite Ez Dreamer was a comfortable winner of Saturday's at Turf Paradise.\nOwned by Triple AAA Ranch and trained by Kory Owens, the 4-year-old colt, coming off a last-place finish in the Delta Mile in the slop at Delta Dec. 4, bounced back to form in this 6 1/2-furlong event for Arizona-breds. Under Glenn Corbett he broke alertly to chase pacesetter Top Playmate, moved up easily to take the lead from that rival on the far turn, then opened up on the field to win by 5 1/4 lengths while under wraps. One Call chased him early, tried to run with him into the lane but was no match, finishing second. White Spar ran on for third in the field reduced to five after three scratches.\nEz Dreamer ran the distance in 1:15.89 and paid $2.80. The $30,000 winner's share pushes his career earnings to $424,765 from eight wins in 22 starts.
