Ez Dreamer best in Premiere at Zia Park

Ez Dreamer won his second stakes in his last three starts Sunday at Zia Park, when he shuttled to a 3 1/2-length win over highweight and odds-on favorite Native Ruler in the . It was another length and a quarter back in third to Ducky Drake.

The Premiere was the first stakes of the meet at Zia.

Ez Dreamer ($9.20), who in June won the $125,000 Iowa Sprint Handicap at Prairie Meadows, pushed pacesetter Loves Bonus through fractions of 21.60 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.20 for the half-mile. Ez Dreamer took command from there, and went on to cover six furlongs on a track rated fast in 1:09.

Ken Tohill rode the winner for Triple AAA Ranch and trainer Kory Owens.

Ez Dreamer, who is a son of In Excess, has now won 7 of 19 starts and $369,765.
