Extravagant Kid retired at age 9

Coady Photography Extravagant Kid takes the Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan. Although he is in top form, he will be a big price in the July Cup.
Extravagant Kid, who won the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint in Dubai last March, has been retired.
Owned by David Ross of Great Falls, Va., and trained by Brendan Walsh, Extravagant Kid, 9, won 15 of 56 starts and earned $1,704,683 in a career that spanned from 2015 to earlier this month. Extravagant Kid finished sixth as the 6-5 favorite in an allowance race at Gulfstream Park on Feb. 2 in his final race.
Ross claimed Extravagant Kid for $75,000 in January 2018. The gelding later earned $1,268,694.
Ross recently moved Extravagant Kid to a farm in Ocala, Fla., where he will be based until a permanent home is determined.
