HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A couple of former stablemates, Whisper On the Wind and Forall the Marbles, may vie for favoritism in the best of the 10 races carded Saturday at Gulfstream Park, a $50,000 starter allowance to be decided at a mile on turf. Whisper On the Wind and Forall the Marbles both had considerable success here this past winter while housed under the shed of trainer David Kassen. The two veterans parted ways last month when Whisper On the Wind was haltered for $25,000 by Dane Kobiskie for his principal client, PTK LLC. Whisper On the Wind came to hand nicely for Kassen earlier this season, winning four straight races on turf, all at 7 1/2 furlongs, before moving to new surroundings after registering a 1 3/4- length victory against mid-level optional-claiming foes April 30. The more versatile Forall the Marbles won three races during the 2015-16 Gulfstream Park championship meet, two on the grass and one over a sloppy strip, all his wins coming under a $16,000 claiming tag. Forall the Marbles will likely put his strong speed on display once again Saturday, with only Fearthefalcon appearing capable of keeping pace early. Fair Prospect is an improving sort for trainer Michelle Nihei and comes off arguably his best race yet when finishing third against a solid bunch of Florida-breds on turf six weeks ago. Fair Prospect finished third under similar starter allowance conditions from off a relatively slow pace March 16. :: Bet Gulfstream Park with DRF Bets and get FREE access to this article and all of DRF Plus, including Gulfstream selections, video, and real-time analysis. Moonlight Bandit by Malibu Moon Last 3 Beyers: 80-80-81 ◗ An extremely consistent sort from a Beyer standpoint, he hung late while finishing fourth against a slightly softer field racing under similar conditions first off the claim April 14.
