Everland to train for Oaks at Keeneland
?q=100)
Everland, upset winner of the $300,000 Bourbonette Oaks on Saturday at Turfway Park, was “doing good” on Sunday morning, trainer Eric Foster reported.
“She is proud of herself,” Foster said.
Everland earned 50 points toward the Kentucky Oaks starting gate with her victory and now has a total of 54, which would have been enough to make the field in the past two runnings. The filly, who has made all seven of her starts on turf or synthetic surfaces, has won three of four outings on Turfway’s Tapeta this winter. She was fourth in the Cincinnati Trophy for Foster, who claimed her for $30,000 last year, then won the Bourbonette with an 82 Beyer.

Foster said that he has “the same question everybody else does” about the Arrogate filly’s ability to run on the dirt.
“We haven’t trained her on the dirt – we’ve left her here (at Turfway) since we’ve claimed her,” Foster said. “We’re going to move to Keeneland this week coming up, and just see how everything goes, and get her on the dirt, and hopefully, she loves it.”
