Even the Score retired to stud
Even the Score, a dual Grade 2 winner for his owner, Ro Parra, has been retired to stud after injuring himself during a workout for the Santa Anita Handicap.
The 7-year-old Unbridled's Song horse will stand at his owner's Millennium Farms in Kentucky for a $5,000 fee.
Trained by Vladimir Cerin, Even the Score won the Grade 2 Californian Stakes and Mervyn LeRoy Handicap in 2004, as well as the 2003 Mardi Gras Handicap.
He retires with a race record of 29-9-1-9 and earnings of $751,629.
last ran on July 10, finishing third in the Grade 1 Hollywood Gold Cup.
Even the Score is out of the stakes-winning Rahy mare Ashtabula and is her first graded stakes winner to date.
