Stakes action returns to Evangeline Downs on Friday night as an evenly matched field of 11 Louisiana-bred 3-year-old fillies goes in the Acadiana Stakes. The seven-furlong race carries a $50,000 purse.\r\nLovenotlost will put a three-race winning streak on the line in the Acadiana. Trained by Wes Hawley, Lovenotlost makes her first start since capturing the Crescent City Oaks at Fair Grounds on March 25. She also won the Sarah Lane’s Oates over the Fair Grounds turf in late February. Overall, Lovenotlost has won 4 of her 9 starts. Don Simington will journey down from Louisiana Downs to ride.\r\nTrainer Tom Amoss will send out a rare starter at Evangeline as Lawson’s Lady makes her local debut. Second to Lovenotlost in the Crescent City Oaks, Lawson’s Lady was a recent allowance winner at Indiana Downs. She has been training forwardly between starts at Amoss’s base at Churchill Downs and will be ridden by longtime Evangeline regular Gerard Melancon.\r\nTina Lena Too will be adding blinkers for the Acadiana following a sixth-place finish against older rivals in her grass debut in the Tellike Stakes. Trained by Glen Delahoussaye, Tina Lena Too won two of her first three starts and narrowly missed in a third before reporting home third against open company in her first stakes attempt, which came in the Hallowed Dreams Stakes earlier this meeting. Shane Sellers has the riding assignment.\r\nAlso on Friday’s program are three trials for the filly division of the D. S. “Shine” Young Futurity. The finals are slated for Louisiana Showcase Night on July 2 and will be one of 10 stakes for Louisiana-breds.
