The Kentucky Equine Education Project has awarded five $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing equine studies in Kentucky. The recipients are Christina Campbell and Ashlee Frisby at Midway College; Rebecca Lloyd at the University of Kentucky; Kim French at the University of Louisville; and David Hayden at Murray State University. . . . The second annual fund-raising dinner for the Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program will be held Aug. 18 at Finger Lakes. Tickets for the event, which will include live and silent auctions and entertainment, are available for $20 in advance from the Finger Lakes gift shop and the Finger Lakes Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association Office, or for $25 at the door.
