There will be no racing at the Charles Town Races from Wednesday through April 4 while the track completes installation of a new tote system, erects a new infield tote board, and de-winterizes the racing surface. . . . The Ad Hoc Committee on the Future of Racing in New York has scheduled a hearing on April 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Queens Borough Hall in Queens, N.Y., to take testimony from racing fans about the committee's work to issue recommendations on awarding the franchise to operate Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga.
