Starcraft, winner of Group 1 races in Australia, Britain, France, and his native New Zealand, will begin his stud duties this winter at Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket, England. Starcraft, whose racing career ended with a seventh-place finish in this year's Breeders' Cup Classic, a record of 11-3-1 from 22 starts, and earnings of $2,330,958, will stand for a fee of $17,400. . . . Churchill Downs Inc. approved a 50-cent dividend per share of its common stock at a quarterly board meeting on Thursday. Earlier this week, Churchill announced earnings of $5.30 a share, largely on the strength of its sale of Hollywood Park in Southern California earlier this year.
