Trainer Patrick Biancone said Friday that he will ship a string of 24 horses to Turfway Park on Oct. 2 because of the new Polytrack surface at the Florence, Ky., track. Biancone said he will use Turfway as his base for the Keeneland fall meet and to prepare his several prospects for the Oct. 29 Breeders' Cup. . . . Churchill Downs Inc. on Friday closed its deal to sell Hollywood Park to Bay Meadows Land Company for a price of $257.5 million, $2.5 million less than the price announced on July 6 because of "the cost of addressing certain physical conditions at the property," according to a Churchill statement.
