Pollard's Vision, winner of the Grade 2 Illinois Derby in 2004 and three other graded stakes, will stand at Wintergreen Stallion Station in Midway, Ky., starting in 2006 for a fee to be announced next month. A 4-year-old son of Carson City and the unraced Dixieland Band mare Etats Unis, Pollard's Vision was retired from racing after being injured in the Aug. 6 Whitney Handicap. . . . Ballena Vista Farm in Ramona, Calif., has announced that it has privately purchased the 10-year-old Storm Cat stallion Sea of Secrets and will stand him for $3,500 in 2006. Sea of Secrets is the sire of stakes-winners Appealing Secret, Road to Mandalay, and Thekatcamehome from three crops to race.
