Fasig-Tipton Texas has cataloged 545 horses, up from last year's 407, to its Texas summer yearling sale, which will be held on Aug. 29 and 30. The sale, to be conducted at the pavilion in the stable area of Lone Star Park near Dallas, will offer yearlings by Albert the Great, Brahms, Catienus, Dayjur, Holy Bull, In Excess, Lemon Drop Kid, Matty G, Mutakddim, Tiznow, Touch Tone, and Valid Expectations, among others. . . . The newly formed Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program will host a fund-raising dinner Aug. 19 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the Paddock Room at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack. Tickets for the event, which will include a dinner buffet, live and silent auction, and entertainment, are available before the event for $15 at the Finger Lakes gift shop and Finger Lakes Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association Office, or for $20 at the door.
