Turfway Park canceled racing Saturday after two of 12 scheduled races because of high winds. The Fairway Fun Stakes will not be rescheduled, the track announced. . . . Former jockey Shawn Chavis, who works as an exercise rider for trainer Mike Zwiesler, was released from Tampa General Hospital on Friday after undergoing surgery to repair serious leg injuries sustained when he was struck by a car. Chavis faces several months of rehabilitation after plates and screws were utilized to repair a badly shattered ankle.
