Jess Jackson, owner of the Kendall-Jackson Winery, has completed his purchase of Mahmoud and Mustafa Fustok's $17.4 million Buckram Oak Farm in Lexington, Ky., the Thoroughbred Times reported Friday. The Fustoks's recently acquired a portion of the late Elmer Heubeck's Quail Roost Farm near Ocala, Fla. . . . The Tattersalls February mixed sale reached a new high at its close Thursday with a record yearling price of 115,000 guineas (about $229,425) for a Johannesburg-Rozel colt and record broodmare price of 95,000 guineas (about $189,525) for the stakes-winning broodmare Silver Bandana, in foal to Oasis Dream. The auction sold 157 horses and grossed about $3,190,404, up 79 percent from last year, with the average price rising 34 percent to about $20,319 and the median up 25 percent to about $9,975.
