Jack Bernsmeier of Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, La., will become the new general manager of Delta Downs in Vinton, La., when Boyd Gaming Corporation of Las Vegas takes over ownership of the track on June 1. . . . A veterinary ophthalmologist has reported seeing cloudy eyes in some horses in southwestern Virginia, which is also having an infestation of Eastern tent caterpillars. Similar eye problems have been seen in Kentucky during the foal crisis there.
