The track at Laurel Park will be opened for training early next week, with racing to return there Jan. 22. . . . Art McFadden, president of MEC Oregon Racing, Inc., the operator of Portland Meadows, for 3 1/2 years, resigned on Friday to spend more time on his business interests, which include a farm in Chile and various real estate projects.
