Russian Rhythm, the winner of four Group 1 races and one of Europe's best milers the last two years, has been retired because of lingering leg ailments. A 4-year-old daughter of Kingmambo, Russian Rhythm won seven of 10 starts and earned $1,260,799. . . . Mineshaft, who began his 2003 Horse of the Year campaign at Fair Grounds, will be inducted into the Fair Grounds Hall of Fame, along with his trainer, Neil Howard, and his jockey, Robby Albarado, who has been the leading rider at Fair Grounds five times. Princequillo, who won his 3-year-old debut at Fair Grounds in 1943 and then went on to win the Jockey Club Gold Cup, will also be inducted.
