Grade 1 winner Take Charge Lady, who was retired after finishing fifth in the Falls City Handicap at Churchill Downs on Thanksgiving Day, will be bred to Seeking the Gold in 2004. A two-time winner of the Grade 1 Spinster, Take Charge Lady raced for Jerry and Faye Bach's Select Stable, was trained by Ken McPeek, and retired with a record of 11-7-0 in 22 starts and earnings of $2,480,377. . . . The stakes-winning sprinter Yankee Gentleman has arrived at Airdrie Stud in Kentucky, where he will begin stud duty next spring for a fee of $10,000. Brereton C. Jones, who owns Airdrie, said that he will own Yankee Gentleman, a 4-year-old son of Storm Cat, in partnership with Marty Wygod, who owned the colt during his racing career.
