Spain will sell in foal to Storm Cat, and Saudi Poetry will sell in foal to Silver Deputy. . . . As of 4:30 p.m Tuesday, the $125,000 Ogygian mare Lori's Luck, in foal to Hennessy, was the session-leader on day two of the Ocala Breeders' Sales' fall mixed auction in Ocala, Fla. At Monday's opening session, 169 horses were sold for a total of $2,687,300, up from the $2,046,400 that 150 lots brought year ago, with an average price of $15,901 (up 17 percent) and a median of $10,500 (up 11 percent). . . . An $80,000 Dispersal-Iceycindy mare named Icy Chris, purchased in foal to Carson City, was the highest-priced lot at the inaugural Saratoga mixed sale conducted Saturday by J. T. Minton Auctions in upstate New York. The one-day auction sold 99 of 162 lots for $493,500, yielding an average price of $4,985 and a $2,700 median. . . . Gainesway Farm in Lexington, Ky., will raise Smoke Glacken's stud fee from $15,000 to $25,000 for the 2004 breeding season. Smoke Glacken was bred to 116 mares in 2002 and has had 75 foals of 2003 reported, according to The Jockey Club.
