Benny the Dip, Epsom Derby winner and former Claiborne Farm stallion was euthanized recently after fracturing his knee in a paddock accident at Rathbarry Stud in Ireland. Rathbarry purchased Benny the Dip, a 9-year-old Silver Hawk-Rascal Rascal horse, just two weeks ago from Cheveley Park Stud. . . . Northview Stallion Station in Maryland has announced it will raise the stud fee of Two Punch from $20,000 to $25,000 for the 2004 season and drop Diamond's fee from $5,000 to $3,500. Fees for the eight other Northview stallions will remain the same, with Awad, Concern, Crowd Pleaser, and Polish Miner at $3,500; Lion Hearted, Partner's Hero, and Waquoit at $5,000; and Not for Love at $15,000.
