Say Florida Sandy, whose retirement was announced this week, will stand stud in 2004 at Buckridge Farm in Stuyvesant, N.Y., for a fee of $5,000. The second-leading New York-bred of all time in money earned, Say Florida Sandy will be syndicated and is expected to arrive at the 500-acre farm early next week. . . . Leaping Plum, who has won eight of the last nine runnings of the Grasmick Handicap at Fonner Park, including a string of seven straight, received permission from the Nebraska State Racing Commission to race next year at 13. Any horse more than age 12 needs approval from the commission to run in Nebraska. . . . The Barretts sale company in Pomona, Calif., has changed the dates of its January mixed sale from Jan. 20-21 to Jan. 26-27. Barretts also announced that it has changed the final entry deadline for its January sale from Nov. 7-14. . . . The 23rd annual New York Horsemen's Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 7 at Sands Point Golf Club in Sands Point, N.Y.
