Kentucky's Taylor Made Sales Agency, perennially a leading seller in North America, will offer a yearling at the Doncaster St. Leger yearling sale on Sept. 13. The yearling, a Grand Lodge colt out of the winner Lady Windley (Baillamont), most recently sold publicly at the Tattersalls December sales for 55,000 guineas, or about $82,000, to Peter Doyle Bloodstock. . . . Lone Star Park near Dallas is one of two partnerships in the running to win a bid to operate the shuttered Maronas Racetrack in Montevideo, Uruguay. The track made its bid in partnership with the gaming and technology company Hipica Rioplatense last month, and will know in September whether it won the concession, or if the contract will go to the other group competing to reopen Maronas, made up of a partnership among the Radisson Hotel, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church, and Palermo Racetrack in Argentina.
