Jockey Patti Cooksey took off her mounts Sunday and Monday at Turfway Park because of body soreness but was expected back in action Wednesday. Cooksey was thrown Saturday when her mount in the third race, Stormy Poet, clipped heels and fell. . . . Jockey Vernon Bush won five races on Saturday's nine-race card at Suffolk Downs. Bush won the second, third, sixth, seventh, and ninth races, including the $35,000 Rudy Baez Stakes on Seattle Surprise.
