Wayne Wright, a jockey who rode winners of all three Triple Crown races - Peace Change in the 1934 Belmont, Shut Out in the 1942 Kentucky Derby, and Polynesian in the 1945 Preakness - died on Tuesday at a medical care center in Yerington, Nev., at age 86. His survivors include his wife, Nadia; two sons, Kenneth and Dan; and a daughter, Dorothy. . . . Dan Jones, an owner and breeder from Little Rock, Ark., whose stake winners included Potentiality, Overpeer, and Cojet, died Thursday at age 58. Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. Central on Monday at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock. . . . Jockey Ron Warren Jr. rode three winners Thursday at Golden Gate Fields to reach the 3,000-victory mark. Warren won with At the Copa ($2.60) in the first, Yankee Pirate ($4.60) in the second, and Tin and Tonic ($5.80) in the seventh. . . . .Sunland Park officials, citing increased revenue from the track's simulcast signal, announced a 10 percent purse increase, effective with Friday's races. The increase, which will mean open allowance races will be worth $36,000, and maiden special races will be run for $19,200, is the third purse raise at the Sunland meet. . . . Joe Harper, president and CEO of Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, has been elected president of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations.
