Texas-based trainer Ramon Flores, 34, was killed in a car accident Tuesday morning in Schulenberg, Texas, about 90 minutes west of Houston. He is survived by his wife, Amy; an 8-year-old son, Fernando; and a 1-year-old daughter, Brisenia. . . . Winter weather again disrupted racing. Oaklawn Park officials on Tuesday canceled the track's live Wednesday program because of a winter storm that moved into the area overnight, and Beulah Park in canceled the last three races on Tuesday's eight-race program because of thawing and an uneven racing surface.
