Craig Dado has been hired as the director of marketing and media at Del Mar, effective at the end of this summer's meeting. Dado, 37, currently employed by Magna Entertainment, the corporation that owns Santa Anita and Gulfstream Park, among others, replaces Dan Smith, who has worked at the track year-round since 1975.
