Tenpins, who won 5 of 7 starts this year, including the Grade 2 Washington Park Handicap at Arlington, has been named Michigan-bred horse of the year for 2002 by the Michigan Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association. Tenpins also was named co-champion top older horse, along with Secret Romeo, who won seven stakes this year, including the $100,000 Lost Code Handicap at Sportsman's Park. . . . The Texas Racing Commission has reduced the suspension of owner James Donnan from a year to 60 days because the panel was not convinced fraud was his intent when one of his horses, Chauffe Au Rouge, was made eligible for statebred races based on inaccurate paperwork. The horse's accreditation was later rescinded and the $90,000 in purses he earned for wins in two restricted stakes was ordered to be redistributed.
