Funeral services were held Saturday for longtime northern California trainer Dick Doyle, who died of cancer at his home in Oakdale, Calif., last Thursday at 76. He is survived by his wife, Marion, two sons, Casey and Cliff, and two daughters, Louise and Judy. . . . Jockey Beth Butler will miss the first few days of the Turfway Park meet because of the death of her mother last weekend in Las Vegas. Butler was in Colorado for her mother's funeral Tuesday. . . . Heavy rains that rendered the racetrack unsafe caused Delaware Park to cancel the final seven races on Sunday's 10-race program.
