Penn National Gaming, the owner of Penn National and Charles Town racetracks, had net income of $9.2 million in the second quarter of 2002, compared with net income of $6.5 million in the second quarter of 2001, according to the company. In addition to its racetracks, Penn National also owns two casinos in Mississippi. . . .
