The Nevada Senate passed a bill on Monday allowing Internet gambling in the state, the first U.S. jurisdiction to approve the practice. The bill, which would require a $500,000 two-year license fee to operate a gambling site, will be sent to Gov. Kenny Guinn for his signature. . . . Emmanuel de Seroux's Narvick International has purchased graded stakes winner Pine Dance privately from George Hofmeister, but plans for the 4-year-old colt are unclear. De Seroux said that Narvick bought Pine Dance as a racehorse rather than a stallion. . . . Tom Biederman, executive director of Equine Spectrum, an Internet bloodstock exchange forum, will leave the company. Also, Equine Spectrum will offer a quarter of the company for sale in the "near future," according to Nick Nicholson, president of Keeneland, which owns a 25 percent stake in Equine.
