Kentucky horsemen Bert Welker and Clark Shepherd, both former managers at Stonewall Stallions, have joined forces to form Allied Bloodstock in Lexington, Ky. The agency will make its debut at the Fasig-Tipton July select yearling sale. In addition to being a sales agency, Allied Bloodstock also will provide breeding advice and general bloodstock consultation. Welker owns Silverton Farm and most recently has been operating his family's Welker Sales. . . . Grade 1 winner Wicked Style will take up stud duties in Australia after being purchased privately by Oaklands Stud in Queensland, Racing Post reported Monday. A 5-year-old Macho Uno horse, winner of the Grade 1 Lane's End Breeders' Futurity and Grade 3 Arlington-Washington Futurity in 2007, Wicked Style left the track with $572,927 in earnings and wins in 5 of 17 career starts. Florida-bred Wicked Style is out of the stakes-placed Trempolino mare Deviletta.
