Pimlico Race Course has pledged to raise at least $100,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest breast cancer organization. The fund-raising will center on Black-Eyed Susan Day, May 14, featuring the second Pimlico Jockey Challenge and a race showcasing famous retired female riders. . . . James Centofanti, a longtime Thoroughbred owner, died March 23 at age 89. His best horse was DoJ's Jubilee, who earned more than $300,000 in a career that spanned from 1994 to 2006 and included only one start outside of Ohio.
