Trainer Robert Raymond won the 1,000th race of his career Monday when Bea Precise ($27) captured the first race at Suffolk Downs, a $5,000 claiming race. Raymond began his training career in 1979, has sent out 8,205 starters, and has stable earnings of more than $7 million. . . . The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., is holding its annual Countdown to the Breeders' Cup program at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. A panel of local public handicappers will review important prep races and discuss them with the audience.
