New York trainer Roy Sedlacek has accepted a 30-day suspension and $1,000 fine from the New York State Racing and Wagering Board for a postrace positive for Guanabenz in a horse he trained. Sedlacek is the third trainer in New York this week to be suspended for having a horse test positive for Guanabenz, a central nervous system depressant with sedative properties. . . . Louisiana Gov. Mike Foster has signed a compact, subject to federal approval, with the Jena Band of Choctaws, who plan to open a casino in Vinton, where Delta Downs is located. Delta on Wednesday will become the state's first racetrack to open a slot-machine casino. . . . Oaklawn Park's pick six was hit for the first time this meet Thursday and paid $182,026 to the two correct tickets; the 5-of-6 consolation paid $616.20. The six-day carryover going into the card was $144,040, while another $371,328 was bet into the pool Thursday.
