Gottcha Gold, a multiple Grade 3 winner, will retire in time to enter stud in 2009 at Mike O'Farrell's Ocala Stud in Ocala, Fla., the farm announced Thursday. A 5-year-old Coronado's Quest horse, Gottcha Gold is pointing for the Grade 3 Fred W. Hooper Handicap at Calder on Dec. 13. . . . Day 4 at the Goffs November foal sale in County Kildare, Ireland, saw continued losses compared with last year's auction. The Thursday session sold 129 horses for about $2,658,808 for an average price of about $20,610. Gross was down by 61 percent and average by 52 percent from last year's fourth session, when 159 horses sold. Buy-backs rose from 16 percent in 2007 to 37 percent this year.
