Steve Koch, Woodbine's director of Thoroughbred racing since 2006, has been promoted to vice president of Thoroughbred racing, the Woodbine Entertainment Group announced Wednesday. Koch has promoted Steve Lym to the position of director of racing. . . . Beulah Park on Wednesday canceled its racing programs for Friday and Saturday because of poor track conditions. The cancellations bring to 11 consecutive and 17 full or partial card cancellations at the track this winter.
