Ed Callahan, the general manager of Rockingham Park, demanded in a written statement on Thursday that New Hampshire gubernatorial candidate Gordon Humphrey issue a formal apology after Humphrey called gambling "a scummy, sleazy enterprise that has no place in this state" during testimony Tuesday in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Callahan said the remark "insulted" the employees of the track and its horsemen.
