Jockey Russell Baze has been awarded the Isaac Murphy Award, given by the National Turf Writers Association to the rider with the highest winning percentage (with a minimum of 500 mounts) in a year, for the seventh consecutive year. Baze won 423 races from 1,501 mounts, 28 percent, beating Kris Prather, who, sidelined by injury much of the year, won 130 of 502 mounts, 26 percent. . . . Delaware Park will conduct 139 days of live racing this year, from April 27 through Nov. 17. Races will be held Saturday through Tuesday the entire meet, with Wednesday racing from May 22 through Oct. 9. . . . Oaklawn Park has signed a nonexclusive agreement with Television Games Network that will allow TVG to broadcast and accept wagers on Oaklawn's races beginning Jan. 25, opening day at the Hot Springs, Ark., track.
